More beautiful Big Sky vistas.
We were tired from yesterday’s century ride, so we’re glad that today’s ride was shorter than the 74 miles we need to average. We tried to book massages for when we arrived in Dillon, but apparently getting massages on July 3 in Dillon is a big thing because the surprisingly numerous massage places were all fully booked.
We left Wisdom with our lunches in our panniers and Camelbak (no mid-ride lunch meet up with Sue and Brad) which worked out well because there were almost no services en route, plus Sue and Brad drove straight to Dillon and enjoyed the local museum including agricultural and gold rush exhibits. Dillon is far larger than Wisdom and very kid friendly with kid fishing holes, a large YMCA and just a nice people vibe. The guests before us at our Wisdom AirBnB had been a fishing party due to the Big Hole River being the last habitat in the contiguous US of the native Fluvial Arctic grayling. Say that three times fast! Also very good trout fishing apparently.
Tomorrow night, friends Judy and Bret join us for two days of cycling to West Yellowstone, then through Yellowstone National Park.
The journey gets better everyday. How many days does it take to cross MT?
Be safe!
It would seem like a very interesting experience for Sue and Brad as well, being that they are from the UK (as I gathered)? You four make an awesome team!
