As this is our penultimate day to finishing our Cycle Across America, we thought we’d take some pictures of just a small number of the American flags we saw en route today. We must have missed the memo regarding an extended July 4 celebration, or folks out here are very patriotic, veterans or supporters of the Team USA for the Olympics. Either way, it was all nice to see amongst the, once again, beautiful landscape.
Just liked this flag tree
Our daughter Ellie, son in law Mike and granddaughter Olivia came down to Richmond to join us in the weekend festivities. Tomorrow the 5 of us will ride together (hopefully Liv will last) along the 36 mile Capital Trail. Then they’ll meet us at the Yorktown Victory monument where we’ll dip our front tires into the Chesapeake Bay which is the end of the TransAmerica Bike Trail #76. We can’t believe that today was our 2nd to last day!
What an awesome job, congratulations, you both did a great thing🙏🙏🙏💙
We’re in the OBX, leaving tomorrow nite hoped to have seen your return🙏🙏😊💙
